Usually, I post these before the presentation, not the day after, but this happened last minute.
Brian and Tony from Denver Open Media were going to be in DC at the Alliance for Community Media conference and wanted to talk to some openflows folks about collaborating on the (soon to be renamed) pegspace project. Jason was organizing a panel (that included Tony and Emily) on public access centers and their use of drupal. Emily suggested that Mark and I present the work that the Openflows Community Technology Lab has been doing for Manhattan Neighborhood Network, which will form the foundation of the Free Software collaboration soon to not be known as pegspace
So, with little notice Mark and I took a round trip bus trip to Washington DC via the chinatown bus.
I think that those of us on the panel enjoyed seeing each other's work more than presenting their own. We had much more fun than the the audience, and judging from the questions after the audience had a good time.
