It has been a while since I've included more than just a photo in one of these daily posts. A combination of factors is at fault that either take up my time or make it hard to focus on writing -- work, having taken up running and having developed tinnitus would top the list.

I guess that it's also partly my lack of desire to become yet another blog that is nothing but links to other things that a million people have already linked to and I have not run across many links that don't fall into that category lately.

However, today I wanted to think out loud about my father. In part this year of photos taken with what was once his camera is an attempt to come to terms with his death and re-discover something that I not only used to enjoy but also provided me with one of the few links I had with him. Today would have been his 80th birthday. Other than pointing that out, there's not much to say.
