one week in, still feel like a couch potato
Jenna and I just finished our first week of the 9 week "couch to 5k" training program ( http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml ). We've been using the podcasts at http://www.ullreys.com/robert/Podcasts to guide us through the runs. The music is absolutely horrible but not having to keep our eyes on a stop watch to time the intervals so far outweighs that pain. I already notice a little improvement but can't really imagine myself running a 5k anytime soon.

mountain men and starbucks squirrels
This sort of goes with the ptsd toy soldiers I posted recently.
figurines of Marx, Lenin, Mao and Thoreau with backpacks headed to the woods for some fun. (Although I find it interesting that Mao has no backpack and appears to be hitching a ride, maybe he got into a fight with Lenin and wanted to head back into town early).
