In May of 2003 I was invited to give a presentation at a conference held at the Centre de Cultura Contemporania de Barcelona on the topic of the politics of technology and the opensource/free software movement.
It was an amazing and unique experience. I was speaking in marble pillared lecture hall, with simultaneous translation into earpeices people were wearing -- people everywhere in the room were smoking hashish as I spoke. Sort of felt like the UN on dope.

The largest newspaper of Spain, El Pais, called my lecture "incendiary and well received".

My hour talk was done from very few notes so I am waiting for the cccb to send me a tape so I can write up a transcript.
