We just finished week 2 of the c25k training. It's really shocking how much improvement I'm noticing already. This week, instead of using the podcast from Robert Ullrey http://www.ullreys.com/robert/Podcasts/ we've moved to one distributed at http://web.me.com/iestynx/Couch_to_5K/Podcast/Podcast.html
While I miss Robert's reassuring voice and encouragement, I find it much more enjoyable listening to the robot voice of the new podcasts combined with my own music. I understand why Robert made the decision he did, he wanted to release a free set of mp3's without violating any copyright. However, I just have a low tolerance for the style of music he ended up using.
This week's playlist was
- untitled march: hungry march band
- help save the youth of america: billy bragg
- i'm tired: the layabouts
- hold on: lou reed
- new york mining disaster 1941: chumbawamba
- fuckalot: the layabouts
- run run run: velvet underground
- e=mc2: big audio dynamite
One thing I need to say: there is something about the beat to the layabouts' tunes that just make my legs move. You can get most of their music for free at http://goodfelloweb.com/layabouts/Songs/index.htm
